Laura Catherine Moloughney was born 10 May 1894.

Marriage to Joseph Clarence Ambury 1921 (Marriage Certificate Number 1921/1058).

On January 12 at St. Barnabes Church, Mount Eden Auckland by Rev. FW Young. Joseph Clarence, second son of Mr. and Mrs LJ Ambury, Raupo, Northern Wairoa, to Laura, eldest daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. P Moloughney, Mount Eden, Auckland.

Joseph was born 8 December 1895.

From Tides and Time Revised 2013 Edition page 19 reads;

Laura received a MBE for community services. She founded many organisations. WDFF Provincial President for 20 years and driving force behind nine of the federation branches. Laura broke with tradition when she became the first woman member on the local hospital board. A local rest home is named after her. She served on the Dargaville High School Board of Governors and during the war was president and organiser of the Woman’s War Service Auxiliary.

Joseph passes away in 1981 (Death Certificate number 1981/36401)
