Abe was born in about 1876 (birth certificate number unknown) in Aratapu in the northern Kaipara region.

The only record we have is from the New Zealand Herald on 2 August 1906 lists an Abraham Stanaway as a witness to a crime, it lists him as a cab driver – we are unsure if this is our Abe Stanaway.

We have no other records of Abraham, we do not know if he married or had any children. (Death Certificate unknown)
