We have a record from Archives New Zealand in 1920 – Seafarers’ Certificate and Licenses – New Zealand – Certificate of Competency as Engineer (Restricted Limits) of a Ship propelled by Gas, Oil, Fluid, Electricity, or other Mechanical Power than Steam – George Frederick Stanaway.

Marriage Certificate number 1923/414 George marries Eva May Penney. Eva born about 1901. (Can not find Birth Cert in NZ – maybe born overseas – According to MYHERITAGE she was born 20 January 1901 in Pupuke, Kaipara).

They had 3 children – Terence George,

The 1957 Electoral Roll George Frederick and Eva May Stanaway are living at 7 Miro Road, Greenlane, with their sister-in-law Dorothy (Ted Stanaway’s wife).

NOTE – The 1963, 1969 and 1972 Electoral Rolls have Dorothy living at the same address, 7 Miro Road, Greenlane.
