Mary is born possibly in either the Auckland or Canterbury regions in about 1882 (Birth Certificate Unknown).

We can only assume her childhood was much the same as other children of this period.

The first record we have for Mary is her marriage in 1909 to Frederick Thomas Williams Curtis aged about 27 (Marriage Certificate number 1909/6804).

Frederick was in his early life (according to the electoral rolls) a Hotel Porter, later a Billiardist, and then a Salesman.

Mary and Frederick had two children, Wynfred Graham (1910) and Frederick Glenville (1914).

Mary and Frederick live most their lives at 44 Wynyward Street, Devonport in Auckland. Her final known address was 2 Waterloo Quadrant, Auckland City.

On 22 December 1939 aged about 57 Mary dies at the Auckland Hospital. She is cremated at Waikumete Cemetery in Auckland (Death Certificate number 1939/20085). – Note the cemetery records state her age at death as 56.
