Theresa Jane was born 22 September 1873 (birth certificate number 1873/36435) and registered in Tokatoka in the Kaipara region. The third child and second daughter to Henry and Rose Stanaway.

We suspect that her childhood was much the same as other children at that time growing up in the Kaipara area.

On 3 July 1893 aged just 20 Theresa dies, and was buried in the Helensville Cemetery on 5 July 1893, Block 17 Lot 1.2.9.10 – the family plot. (Death certificate 1893/1106).

STANAWAY – On 3 July at her parents residence, Helensville, Teresa Jane (Jennie), the second daughter of Henry and Rose Stanaway, aged 19 years. May her soul rest in peace!
