Thomas was born 7 July 1879 (birth certificate number 1879/11297) in Te Kopuru in the northern Kaipara region, he only lived for eight months. He died on 23 March 1880 (Death Certificate number 1880/29) of Diarrhoea from teething – 5 days.

It is understood that he is buried in the Tokatoka Cemetery in Plot 5 next to his grandfather – refer Tokatoka Cemetery Burial Records, it states;

Stanaway, infant, Te Kopuru, plot 5.

We only assume it is Thomas.
